The Vice-Chief of the Tourism Market Agency, under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nguyen The Thang, said “Impressive Vietnam” mainly advertised the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi capital and Ha Long Bay, a potential candidate for the seven new wonders of the world. Thang said the global economic crisis has stricken all Vietnamese tourism companies. Tourism will be part of the Vietnamese government’s economic stimulus package. Accordingly, the government will fund the construction of tourism infrastructure, such as road and hotels. Some Vietnamese tourism companies recently came to Spain to advertise Vietnamese tourism. Thang said Spain is a potential market, which can bring about a large number of tourists to Vietnam in the future. After the fair in Germany, some Vietnamese companies have gone to Russia.
